God’s Purpose for My Life

“But for this very purpose have I let you live, that I might show you My power, and that My name may be declared throughout all the earth” Exodus 9:16. God has a specific plan and purpose for my life. I believe that God wants me to live my life for Him by doing my best in school, becoming a wedding planner, and show my love for God in everything I do. I do not know completely what my plan is but I know that God will reveal His plans as I grow.

“For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money, and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it” Ecclesiastes 7:12. Since I am still in school, my only purpose right now is to make the best grades. I need to give every assignment I have 100% effort. It is important for me to learn because as I continue school and go to college, I need to have the knowledge to stand up for what I believe in. I will be challenged in my faith the older I get. Going to a Christian school allows me to learn more about God so that I may have the ability to challenge those who challenge me.

“Many a man claims to have unfailing love, but a faithful man who can find? The righteous man leads a blameless life; blessed are his children after him” Proverbs 20:6-7. My life dream is to become a wedding planner. The design and fashion of weddings is what I love most. Weddings are a symbol of unity between two people and as they are unified together, they are unified with Christ. I believe this is what God wants me to do because it is what I feel most strongly about when thinking about careers. I know God will guide me to do whatever is best for my life.

“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love” John 4:7-8. In everything I do, I wish to show God’s love through my actions. As I grow older I need to be an example to those around me by carefully choosing my actions and words. If my actions and words are pure, people will recognize that. My examples of God’s love may lead others to do the same and spread the word about the one true God.

“But for this very purpose have I let you live, that I might show you My power, and that My name may be declared throughout all the earth” Exodus 9:16. God will reveal His purposes in everything I do. Every step I take is all part of the grand scheme God has purposed for my life. The only way I will ever accomplish obstacles I may face is by having God with me in everything I do. God’s purpose drives me to do my best in everything I do.

A Perfect Day at the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show!

The Enchanted Florist Blog

Hey Lovelies!  A couple of weeks ago we spent Sunday afternoon at the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show at Gaylord Opryland Hotel and what  a fabulous day it was!  Our booth took a decidedly cheerful turn as we embraced yellow in much of our decor.  Using lemons and spring blooms like tulips and daffodils, you are right to think that we are ready for Spring.  In reality, this color palette will work in any season – swap the linens, switch to seasonal flowers or add in additional accents colors it’s easy to take this look into fall or even winter.  This is just one of the many ideas that Team Enchanted comes up with every day – your vision will be totally unique and we can’t wait to bring it to life!

Erin from The Collection was gracious enough to snap a few pictures of our booth that day.  As always, her…

Why I Believe In Christ

“But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” John 20:31. I believe in Christ because through Him I will have eternal life. Since I have come to know God as my savior, I have seen Him work miracles in my life, He has brought me closer to my family, and He has great plans for me. God’s never failing love is what gets me through each day. His love for me and those around me allows us to see how great and mighty He is.

“You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples” Psalm 77:14. For the past five years my aunt had been struggling with many illnesses and had continuously been in and out of the hospital. In May of 2011 God gave her the strength to be there when her only child married his true love. No one expected her to make it through the weekend but she proved them wrong. She never gave up and always looked to God for strength and answers. Last month she went home to be with Christ. Usually when people pass away the family mourns and is overcome with a deep sadness, well that wasn’t the case. My family rejoiced knowing that she is no longer in pain but now she is joined with her husband and Christ. To me her death was a miracle in itself. I know that now she is happier than she would have ever been here on earth, and she awaits the day for the rest of her family to join her in heaven.

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother’–which is the first commandment with a promise” Ephesians 6:1-2. “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” Psalm 23: 1-6. Before I grew in my relationship with Christ, I did not care about obeying and honoring my parents. Since I have come to know God, I now have an amazing relationship with my whole family.  God has pushed my family through the good times and the bad, using the bad times to show us how much He cares. My family has grown together as a whole as we continue to see God’s work in our lives. I know my parents will be there for me no matter what. Parents are a special gift from God, they help you learn, grow, and keep on the right track. They have blessed me more than I deserve and I greatly appreciate all that they do for me.

“Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come” 2 Corinthians 5:17. When I became a Christian, I didn’t really understand the great plans God has for me. I went with the flow of things and only cared about what was right for me. As I became older I realized that what I was doing was wrong. The more I depended on God and put Him in control, more opportunities opened up in my life. God’s plan was for me to move out of my hometown, I was not happy about this. However, once I moved, I knew that moving would change me into a better person. I know God will always have my best interest and will help me through any obstacles I might face.

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better” Philippians 1:21-23. My life on earth will be a rollercoaster. It will have highs, lows, twists and turns but it will all be worth the ride. The kingdom of heaven will be more immaculate than I could ever dream of. My belief in Christ pushes me to accomplish great things. I will always have a Friend, Leader, and Savior through Christ and that is better than anything on heaven or earth.
